I have lost my Confirmation number. What to do?

If DV Lottery confirmation number is lost don't worry about it. Also take note the confirmation number will not be reissued back.

The confirmation number is to assist you to find out your DV 2011 status online from July 2010 onwards. The confirmation number was not issued to people who has participated in the American Government's official visa lottery program before DV 2010. It was started in the DV 2010 visa lottery program where successfully submitted entries were shown with the success page and it contained the unique confirmation number.

So what is the benefit of having this confirmation number?

It is being issued solely for the purpose of online status checking in the given American web site.

So loosing the confirmation number is not a big issue. If you are a winner, still you will get the winning notification packet by normal post to your given address as in the DV 2011 E-EV form.
