
DV Lottery winners were selected by computer random lottery and were sent with winning letters and further instructions this year between May and July.
Those who had received the winning notifications must fill the forms which came along with it and attach visa photos of them selves and must send it back to the KCC in USA. If they are married they must include their spouse and eligible children information and photographs as required. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. It is better to send the packet through a courier service.
From the KCC, selected and registered winners will be sent with the Second Letter for the interview. This interview will commence from October 1st and will end on 30th September in all parts of the world. All the visa issuance must be finished before midnight of 30th September and there after the winners can't benefit from the winning of DV lottery. So, no dv visas or changing of status will not be available for that year program after this date.
There are only 50,000 visas available for the year's DV lottery program. As all the selected people don't meet the required eligibility, the KCC informs nearly 100,000 people as winners and ask thm to apply for the immigrant visa. And they follow the first come first serve method for the issuing of the visas as they want to finish all the visas before the final date.
Winners will be called for interview by the appointment notification 4/6 weeks prior to the interview date (Second Letter) to face the interview according to their case numbers. If the all visas are issued to the eligible people then the other winner’s appointments will be cancelled. You can find in advance which number is going to the interview in the following month by checking the visa bulletin of the current month.
Further more, education is expected for a person's merit and the ability to settle in The USA with the help of a friend or relative must also to be proofed.
Fake education certificates, Fake marriage certificates will end the applicant in disqualification also may end up in police case in some countries.
The visa fee is a non refundable one, even if the visa is not issued. It is around US$ 755 per person and to be paid at the local US Embassy in local currency. Further more the applicant will have to pass medical and police clearance to proof that he is not a criminal. While some US departments will screen these winners to check their activity against The US interests.
Once the diversity Visa is issued it must be used within the given 6 month’s period to enter in to The USA.
