DV 2011 Visa Fees.

Although the American Government is allowing you to apply for the diversity visa program for free, there will are other charges will apply to you in the last stage, if you were selected as a DV Lottery winner.

DV Lottery Visa fees.

A non refundable diversity visa processing fee and immigrant visa application fee will apply to you. That will be a total of US$ 819 for a single person. If you have any dependants, then each of them too must pay the total visa fees even if they are not intending to immigrate with you.

This visa fees can be paid in local currency or in US Dollars and should be paid only to the US consulate on the day of your interview.

If for any reason the visa is refused the visa fees will not be returned back to you.

Also there will be Medical Examination fees and Biometric fees for the applicant and his/her dependants. These fee and if there are additional fees related to the visa processing should be paid by the visa applicant. No expenses will be met by the US Consular office even if you are travelling to another country to attend the visa interview in a US consular office.

American government will not provide any assistance for the visa applicant including the air ticket, housing etc if he/she is issued with the immigrant visa.

Wining the US DV Lottery will not give you an American immigrant visa at the interview. You must proof your eligibility at the interview to get the required visas. So don't sell any of your properties or valuables till you get the visas under the DV Lottery program.
