Eligibility.

To participate in the US DV Lottery you must meet the simple but strict rules which are provided in the American DV Lottery instructions every year.

You must be born in an eligible country to participate in the DV Lottery and each year the US State department provides a list of eligible countries in the internet and other Medias.

If you were not born in an eligible country you may claim your spouse state if it is eligible. Or your parents one if they were temporarily staying in an ineligible country.(Read the DV Lottery official instruction)

Or

Your should have successfully passed the High school certificate after following the junior school and high school for a period of 12 years. Or you must have 2 years of work experience within the last 5 years in an occupation which will require 2 years of learning/training to perform it. You must use the DOL web site according to the instructions in the DV 2011 official instruction. Normally your age must be more than 18.

In the E-DV entry form, married person must include his/her spouse and all the children who are unmarried and under the age of 21.Failure to do so will disqualify them from the program. Those children in the USA who are citizen or LPR holders should not be included in the entry.

While submitting your DV Lottery entry you have to select your education or select whether you are qualifying through your work experience. There is no way to submit your certificates with the entry.

You will have to provide all your education/work experience on the day of your DV Lottery visa interview and the consular officer will decide on it.
